The largest Canada Express Entry draw of 2018 was held on 13 June offering 3, 750 Canada PR invites to eligible immigrant applicants. The candidates who received the ITAs had CRS scores of 451 or plus.
Prior to the latest draw held on June 13, the largest Canada EE draws for 2018 had offered 3, 500 Invites. This is for the Invitations to Apply offered in the all program rounds, as quoted by the CIC News.
The rule of tie-break was utilized by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada even in the latest draw. The time and date for the tie-break were 07.01.28 UTC and 21 July 2018. It implies that all candidates who scored more than 451 in the CRS received the ITA in this draw. Also, those candidates who scored 451 and furnished their profile prior to the specified time and date obtained the ITA.
The number of Canada PR Invites offered in every all-program rounds of 2018 have steadily enhanced as the year progressed. 2018 commenced with two EE draws held in January offering 2, 750 ITAs each. It was followed by 4 draws in February with 3,000 ITAs. 4 draws held in April and May offered 3,500 ITAs individually.
The increase in Express Entry draws in 2018 is not surprising. This is because of the enhanced immigration intake targets for the year than 2017. It has been planned by the Canadian government to accept 74,900 immigrants via the 3 economic immigration streams of the EE this year.
The larger sizes of the draws can have the impact of lowering the threshold CRS scores. Also, the time gap between consecutive draws is another factor that can influence the scores.
