India has become one of the preferred destinations for hiring skilled workers. According to the reports, India is a young nation with 554 million people between the 15-64 age group. There is a high demand for IT professionals in Qatar, GCC, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Eastern Europe. The labor agreements with few countries are also helping India increase its importance in the global labor market. Saudi Arabia has hired a maximum number of Indian workers.

Indian International Skilling Centre

The Indian International Skilling Centre (IISC) Network aims to promote international workforce mobility by placing 1,00,000 skilled Indian candidates overseas, training 2,50,000 candidates through pre-trial orientation, and approving 25,000 workers through appreciation of prior learning assessment and certification overseas.

 

Japan and India signed an agreement of Cooperation

In January 2021, India and Japan signed an agreement of Cooperation to introduce 'Specified Skilled Worker' between Japan and India. Japan introduced 'Specified Skilled Workers' to address the country's workers shortages by accepting foreign skilled workers with certain expertise and skills.
