Italy, the country with boot-shaped borders recognizes India’s COVID-19 vaccine “Covishield.” This was declared on September 24, 2021. It also declared that Indian Covishield vaccine cardholders are eligible for Green Pass in the European country.
This news reports are an outcome of a meeting between Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and his Italian counterpart Roberto Speranza.
On September 22, 2021, External Affairs Minister ‘S Jaishankar’ discussed the challenges related to vaccine with his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio (who is the current G20 chair), and requested to provide accessibility and smooth travel.
Jaishankar tweeted that “after discussing challenges related to vaccine accessibility and smooth travel. We look forward to join him at a discussion on Afghanistan tomorrow.”
