Nepal offers bountiful business opportunities to Overseas Immigrants. Immigrants interested in its home-bound industries should apply for the Nepal Business Visa. The following are the industries where they are likely to get opportunities -

However, Immigrants must know the following aspects about the Nepal Business Visa.

  • Immigrants holding a license to invest in Nepal businesses
  • Immigrants owning a license to carry out export trade in Nepal
  • Immigrants who export goods manufactured in Nepal

Mandatory documents for Nepal Business Visa

  • Online Application form
  • Bio-data
  • Acceptance letter from the Department of Industry (DOI)
  • Recommendation letter from DOI
  • Company Registration Certificate
  • Company’s share certificates
  • VAT certificate
  • Industry Registration Certificate
  • Passport and latest Visa
  • Industry monitoring report
  • Company’s progress report

How long is it Valid?

Immigrants can apply for the Nepal Business Visa for a period of 5 years. As quoted by Nepali Sansar, it is a multiple-entry Visa.

Nepal Business Visa fees

The Visa fees depend upon the amount of investment made by the Immigrants.

  • Immigrants investing less than 10 million NPR would have to pay 30 dollars for a 1-month long Visa
  • If they are applying for 1 year, the amount will be 300 dollars
  • The Visa fee for 5 years would be 1000 dollars
  • Immigrants investing more than 10 million NPR will have to pay 10 dollars for a 1-month Visa
  • They must pay 100 dollars for a 1-year Visa. They will be granted multiple entries
  • For 5 years, they will have to pay 300 dollars. That too will be a multiple-entry Visa
  • Visa fees for Immigrants investing more than 100 million NPR will be waived off

Immigrants must present supporting documents with details if they are going to invest more than 10 million NPR.

Types of Investors

Existing Investors

Existing investors can apply for a Residential Visa or extend their Business Visa. Their dependent family members too are entitled to the Nepal Business Visa for 5 years.

Potential Investors

These Investors should apply for a non-tourist Visa to the DOI. When they get a recommendation letter, they can further apply to the Nepal Immigration Department.

Non-Tourist Visa:

Immigrants applying for Nepal Business Visa can also avail of a non-tourist Visa. This is mainly for new investors about to start a business in Nepal.

Residential Visa

Immigrants, who invest at least 10 million NPR, can apply for a Residential Visa as well. Their family members can also avail of this Visa.
