Pre-departure Covid-19 tests not required for vaccinated travelers to Singapore

There is no need of pre-departure COVID tests for the vaccinated people who want to visit Singapore. Individuals can come to Singapore through sea or air routes without having any restrictions related to COVID. The rule will be implemented from July 1 this year according to the Ministry of Health. The only rule is that the visitors have to be fully vaccinated.

According to the present rule, individuals between the age of 13 and 17, and have a long-term pass can visit Singapore even if they have not gone through full vaccination. The ministry has stated that as the people aged between 13 and 17 are being vaccinated, so vaccination for such candidates is also required before entering Singapore.

Another rule is that children under the age of 12 and are not fully-vaccinated will also be allowed to enter Singapore, and there is no need to go through a pre-departure COVID test. No change has been made in the rules for the individuals whose age is 13 and above. They have to go through the pre-departure COVID-19 test before visiting Singapore.

They also have to go for a quarantine of seven days and after the end of the quarantine period, they have to go through the PCR test. Vaccinated travelers also have to go through the PCR test until the new rule comes into effect. If travelers are coming to Singapore through road transport and they are fully vaccinated, then there is no need of any pre-departure COVID test.

The Ministry of health also said that work permit holders who do not belong to Malaysia and who want to work in construction, marine, and other fields do not have to apply for entry approvals. Such candidates have to go through the process of residential onboarding on arrival. They have to go for booking up a slot for the onboard center, which is under the Ministry of Manpower, so that they can go through the process of residential onboarding on arrival.
