German visa waiting times are reduced and are being processed faster than before

The waiting period for the German visa appointment has significantly been reduced, with applicants now just needing to wait for a maximum of 5 days. This positive development in the accelerated visa services offered to Indian nationals has been praised by Philipp Ackermann, Germany's ambassador to India, as there was a reduction in processing times and visas are now being granted in a short amount of time. The waiting time for an appointment is between 2 to 5 days.

He also acknowledged about the significant improvement and the current service that is being offered to the Indian public, and the visas would now be issued more quickly than before.

German employers are looking for skilled foreign national to fill labor shortages

Germany has been experiencing from labour shortage, particularly in fields such as IT, technology, contracting, healthcare, and logistics. Employers are actively looking for foreign nationals with relevant experience in these fields to fill the labour shortages.

German parliament, the Bundestag, recently introduced revamped skilled immigration act to make it easier for the entry of qualified foreign nationals to contribute to the Germany’s workforce.

Indians account to the largest percentage of group studying in Germany

Beyond the labor market, Germany is increasingly becoming a popular destination for Indian students for pursuing their higher studies. Recent data revealed in August showed that Indian students accounted for the largest percentage for over 42,000 students pursuing their studies in Germany, marking a 25% annual increase.

Ackermann has conveyed his happiness on this, considering that India now represents the largest international student group in Germany.
