Details about the latest Canada Express Entry Draw #284

The latest Canada Express Entry Draw #284 was held on February 14, 2024. It was a category-based Express Entry draw for Healthcare Occupations. The draw issued 3,500 Invitations to Apply (ITAs), with 422 as the minimum CRS score. 


This was the second category-based selection draw in 2024. The first category-based draw took place on February 1, and 7,000 ITAs were issued to candidates who demonstrated strong proficiency in the French language.

Canada Express Entry eligibility

To be qualified, you must receive at least 67 points out of 100. The eligibility points calculator is based on the following standards:

  • Age: Candidates between the ages of 18 and 35 will receive the most points.
  • Education: The educational background must be on par with Canada's higher secondary education level.
  • Work experience: Candidates will receive extra points if they have one year of work experience.
  • Language competency: Proving English language proficiency grants extra points.
  • Legitimate employment: Candidates will be awarded with extra 10 points if they have valid employment from an employer in Canada.

Canada Express Entry requirements

  • One year of experience within the last ten years in a skilled occupation
  • IELTS band 6 in English or French which is equivalent to CLB score of 7
  • Education Credential Assessment (ECA)
