Estonia aims to enroll 200+ Indian startups via E-Residency

Estonia is beckoning Indian Startups to apply for the E–Residency Program. It offers diverse benefits to the recipient entrepreneurs. These include Digital ID issued by the Estonian government, authorization to register an EU firm, and access to business payment and banking services. They also receive access to tools that enable a digital signature to documents.

E-Residency Head of Partnerships Republic of Estonia Varun Sharma said that 30,000+ individuals across 154 nations have signed up for the program. The press release in this regard further elaborates on the program.

Startups that are launched through E-Residency are autonomous EU firms with trusted location. This enables them to function from any part of the world remotely with minimal costs and low hassles.

Entrepreneurs in India can operate their micro-business pan-India. They can expand with access to the full EU market. E-Residency thus stands for "Make in India and Sell in EU", elaborates the press release, as quoted by the Your Story.

As of now, there are 1, 200+ E-residents from India in Estonia. The nation also expects that these figures will expand phenomenally in the future. This is owing to the deepening economic ties between India and the EU.

Estonia has a target to enroll 200+ startups from the booming Indian community of entrepreneurs. It has planned series of tie-ups with industries and road shows in this regard in 2018.
