The new Indian government is leaving no stone unturned to boost tourism and double tourists to India from all over the world. From extending Visa-on-Arrival facility to nationals of the US, Australia, Norway, Russia, Mauritius and Fiji, to offering E-Visa services to nationals of as many as 45 countries, the Ministries of Home Affairs and Tourism is doing it all.

The Narendra Modi's government is very keen on tourism and culture of the country, and therefore is taking quick measures to improve it. There has been a significant growth of 59.8% in the tourism in the last few months compared to the same period last year.

Tourism Ministry added Singapore, Thailand, Palestine, Israel, Jordan, Japan, UAE, Australia, and United States to the list of E-Visa beneficiaries alongside the countries that already enjoy Visa-on-Arrival to India.

A website dedicated to the service is expected to come up soon. Users can submit a visa form and make the fee payment online. The online confirmation of the same will be provided within 3 to 5 working days. The visa validity will be 30 days from the date of arrival in the country.

A formal announcement from the tourism department on the same is expected on the 27th of November.
