British Council offers $80,000 as IELTS Prizes for overseas students in East Asia

The aspiring overseas students for East Asia have a reason to cheer as the British Council is now inviting applications for the East Asia IELTS Prizes for 2017 - 18. The total prize money is $80,000.

The applicants of the British Council IELTS Prizes for 2017 – 18 must be living in the select regions in East Asia. They must also have completed a test of IELTS as of 2017 April. They must be commencing their Postgraduate or Undergraduate studies that mandate a test of IELTS for 2018-19 academic years. The first prize money is $ 53, 200.

Below is the break –up of the prize amount for the East Asia IELTS Prizes for 2017 – 18:

• Grand Prize - First year of education fee up to $53,200
• Second Prize - $13,300
• Third Prize - $6,650

Local Prizes - $2,660

The actual prize money will be offered in Great Britain Pounds. The above-mentioned amounts are based on the prevailing rates of exchange as of 13 December 2017. Multiple local prizes are also available across the region in East Asia. The nations participating include:
