British Columbia invites 476 in three latest draws

The province of British Columbia in Canada has issued 476 new invitations in three recent draws to immigration candidates to apply for being provincially nominated for Canadian permanent residency. These draws took place on April 7, April 6, and March 30

With this, British Columbia has invited a total of 1,991 immigration candidates since January 2020. 

Draw held on April 7: Skills Immigration & Express Entry BC Invitations Issued

The latest draw held by British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program [BC PNP] was a Tech Pilot Draw. Invitations were issued to qualified registrants that had job offers in any of the 29 technology occupations that come under the BC PNP Tech Pilot. 

A total of 147 invitations were issued in April 7 draw from the following categories – 

Category Minimum Score
SI – Skilled Worker  85
SI – International Graduate  85
EEBC – Skilled Worker 85
EEBC – International Graduate  85

Note. – While the total number of invitations issued were 147, the exact number for each of the categories is yet to be announced by the BC PNP. 

Draw held on April 6: Entrepreneur Immigration Invitations Issued

In the draw held by the BC PNP on April 6, as many as 18 entrepreneurs were issued invitations to apply under the Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional Pilot. 

The minimum score required for an invitation to be sent was 107. 

Draw held on March 30: Skills Immigration & Express Entry BC Invitations Issued

A total of 311 invitations were issued to immigration candidates in the draw held by the BC PNP on March 30. The minimum score requirement was between 102 and 105 in this draw.

In view of COVID-19 situation, certain categories were excluded from the draw. The Entry-Level and Semi-Skilled [ELSS] category was not included in the March 30 draw. Other occupations to be excluded were those related to hospitality, tourism and retail. 

Additionally, those occupations were also excluded in the March 30 draw that had seen a high volume of applications being approved in the recent past, such as –

6211 Retail sales supervisors
6311 Food service supervisors
6313 Accommodation, travel, tourism and related services supervisors
6321 Chefs
6322 Cooks
6341 Hairstylists and barbers

  Applicants that receive an invitation have up to 30 calendar days from the date of the invitation for submitting a complete application through the BC PNP Online registration System.
