The British Columbia PNP has added new communities to its Entrepreneur Immigration-Regional Pilot Program.

The EI-Regional Pilot Program was launched on 14th March 2019. The stream focused on overseas entrepreneurs who wanted to set up their own business or buy existing businesses in the regional areas of the province.

Each participating community have a unique way of selecting eligible candidates from the submitted applications. These communities select the applicants they are interested in. They then arrange exploratory visits for these overseas entrepreneurs. Finally, they nominate the approved candidates to BC PNP for a provincial nomination.

Initially, 30 communities were participating in the pilot.

The below communities have now been included in the 2-year Pilot Program:

  • Northern Rockies Regional Municipality
  • Houston Rural
  • Vanderhoof Rural
  • Francois/Ootsa Lake Rural
  • Fraser Lake Rural
  • Fort Saint James Rural
  • Burns Lake Rural
  • Smithers Rural
  • Sayward
  • Osoyoos
  • Hope

The British Columbia PNP may add more provinces to the Pilot by the end of the month, as per CIC News.
