• Victoria University of Wellington

This University was established in 1897 and currently ranks 221^st in the world.

 

• University of Canterbury

The University of Canterbury ranks 231^st in the world. Established in 1873, it is one of the oldest Universities in New Zealand with a student population of 14,000.

 

• University of Waikato

The University of Waikato jumped up 18 places to rank 274^th in the world in 2019. The University is based in Hamilton but it also runs a campus in Tauranga.

 

• Lincoln University

Lincoln University went up two places in 2019 to rank 317^th in the world. The QS World University Rankings rated it in the top 50 of the world for agriculture.

 

• Massey University

Massey University has dropped slightly to rank 332^nd in the world in 2019. This is the only University in the country to offer courses on aviation, veterinary medicine, nanoscience and dispute resolution.

 

• Auckland University of Technology

Established in 1895, Auckland University of Technology ranks 464^th in the world in 2019. It is ranked 23^rd in the world for percentage of foreign students indicator, as per Top Universities.
