Are you aware of the largest Canada PR draw for 2018 by BC?

British Columbia held the largest Canada PR draw for 2018 in the fresh invitation round held on 17 October. It offered ITAs to 472 Skills Immigration and Express Entry candidates to apply for PR via Provincial Nomination. This is the highest number of invitations offered in 2018 by British Columbia in a single draw.

ITAs were offered to candidates in Express Entry BC’s 2 streams. These are the Overseas Graduate and Skilled Worker streams, as quoted by the CIC News. The Express Entry BC stream is aligned with the national government’s Express Entry system.

Candidates in Express Entry who receive a Provincial Nomination get extra 600 points. This is towards their score in Comprehensive Ranking System. Their applications for Canada PR are processed through the Express Entry system. It has an assured processing time of 6 months or less for Canada PR.

The largest Canada PR draw by BC also offered ITAs to candidates in Skills Immigration stream. These were in the Entry Level and Semi-Skilled, Overseas Graduate and Skilled Workers categories.

The Canada PR nominations offered to Skills Immigration category candidates are processed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. This is outside the Express Entry system.

Candidates who intend to apply for immigration through BC PNP must generally fulfill a requirement. This is having an indefinite and full-time job offer from an employer in the province.

Individuals inclined to immigrate to Canada under SI and EE streams must first create an online profile. This is using the online system of the BC PNP. They must submit a complete registration form. The profiles of the applicants are then assessed. They are assigned a score based on diverse factors. These include work experience, age, educations, and others.
