Alberta draw

IRCC sets a limitation for AAIP (Alberta Advantage Immigration Program) nomination certificates every year. In 2023, AAIP will be sending out 9,750 nomination certificates for Express Entry, and non-Express Entry pathways. More than 10,000 nominations are to be anticipated in 2024 and 2025.

AAIP processing times

The average times for processing applications are accessible to help you know the duration taken by AAIP to complete an application for each AAIP stream.

Express Entry draws

AAIP reviews and evaluates the available applicants in the federal Express Entry pool. AAIP selects the applicants from the information available on the portal and invites them for submitting an application to the AAIP.

The following guidelines will be applicable for selection of Alberta Express Entry Stream, 2023:

Thirty one per cent of estimated nominations will be given to the applicants who are in demand occupations and have family who live in Alberta.

Twenty three per cent of nominations will be given to the candidates in construction, health care, hospitality, agriculture, and tourism sectors but with a special focus on candidates who hold a job offer in Alberta.

Forty five per cent of nominations will be sent to the Accelerated Tech Pathway candidates.
