Alberta Alberta conducted two invitation rounds on 31st July and 7th August and invited 354 Express Entry candidates. The 31st July draw saw 319 NOIs (Notifications of Interest) issued to EE candidates who had a CRS score of 400 or above. The smaller 7th August draw saw 35 NOIs being issued to EE candidates with a CRS score of 352 or above. The invites were issued under the Alberta Express Entry Stream. This stream allows the AINP (Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program) to search the EE Pool for candidates who meet the requirements of the stream. The first Alberta Express Entry Stream draw was conducted over a year ago. Since then, the province has conducted 27 draws issuing 5,382 NOIs so far. A job offer from Alberta is not mandatory to apply under the Alberta Express Entry Stream. However, an eligible candidate should have a valid profile in the EE Pool with a minimum CRS score of 300. Even though a job offer is not a mandate, candidates who have a job offer or any previous work experience in the province receive priority. Having a close relative like a sibling, child or parents in Alberta could also push you ahead in the priority queue. Candidates who have completed their education in Canada and have a job offer are also prioritized by the province. You may not be invited if your Express Entry profile is due for expiry within 3 months of the draw. Also, if your nominated occupation is on the Alberta Opportunity Stream Ineligible Occupation List, you will not get an invite. Alberta continues to invite candidates whose CRS scores are well below the Federal Express Entry cut-off. The highest cut-off in any AINP draw was 425 on 10th July. However, the cut-off is much lesser than the current Express Entry cut-off of 466. The lowest cut-off that the Federal Express Entry has seen this year is 438, as per CIC News.
