Canada's Alberta province has released the details of the second draw held in November.
On November 24, 2021, Alberta invited 100 candidates under Alberta Express Entry Stream selections.
Alberta is a part of the Canadian Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), the quick route to permanent residence in Canada that goes through the provincial and territorial governments (PT).
Alberta PNP is officially known as the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP). Invitations issued by Alberta under Canadian PNP are also referred to as Notification of Interest (NOI) letters.
Alberta Express Entry Stream is linked with the federal Express Entry system that comes under the purview of the department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
The previous provincial draw by Alberta was held on November 9, 2021.

Category | Number of Invitations Issued | Ranking score of the lowest-ranked federal Express Entry candidate invited |
Alberta Express Entry Stream | 100 | CRS 350 |
Under AINP Express Entry draws, Alberta selects candidates from the federal Express Entry portal, based on their potential of successfully settling and thriving within the province.
To be considered by Alberta for a nomination, the IRCC Express Entry system candidate must have expressed an intention of settling in Alberta after getting their Canada PR visa.

How can I get an NOI by Alberta PNP?
You might receive an invitation, also referred to as a Notification of Interest or NOI letter, if you have –
(1) An active profile in the federal Express Entry system,
(2) Your IRCC Express Entry primary occupation is one that supports the economic development and diversification of Alberta,
(3) Previously stated an interest in Alberta immigration, and
(4) A minimum ranking score of CRS 300 (as per the 1,200-point Comprehensive Ranking System matrix).
Certain factors, however, may decrease the chances of your receiving an invitation by Alberta PNP. Such factors include an Express Entry profile that expires within the next five months.
A PNP nomination – under any of the Express Entry aligned PNP streams – is worth CRS 600 points on its own. Securing a PNP nomination is, thus, the best way to improve your CRS score. |
Those looking to immigrate to Quebec as permanent residents will have to go through Quebec immigration programs instead. Quebec is not a part of Canadian PNP.
