Despite the global impact of COVID-19, Australian Capital Territory (ACT) State Sponsorship Draws is being held on schedule. The most recent one was held on June 3.
The Australia Capital Territory, or ACT, is a self-governing territory situated in Southeast Australia. Canberra, which is also Australia's capital city, is the only city to be located under ACT.
Here are the details of the invitation round that took place on June 3:
81 invitations were issued for ACT 190, but no invitations were issued for ACT 491 nomination. This was because there were sufficient 491 applications in the queue to meet the 2020-21 annual allocation of 491 nomination places.
In order to apply for the ACT state sponsorship, applicants must first file with the Canberra Matrix and then get an invitation to apply for state sponsorship.
Before applying for an ACT nomination, the applicant must get an Expression of Interest under the SkillSelect program and must have a score of at least 65 points on the various selection factors.
To apply for sponsorship by the ACT state, applicants must first file with the Canberra Matrix and then receive an invitation to apply for state sponsorship.
The government will invite high-ranking candidates from the Canberra matrix to apply for nomination. The candidates will have to submit an online application within 14 days of receiving the invitation. They must submit the supporting documents along with the processing fees to ACT.
On approval, they can apply for citizenship to the Department of Home Affairs.
