9 Women arrested in Hyderabad with fake Visas

RGIA Police and Immigration authorities have arrested 9 women in Hyderabad with fake Visas. 4 each are from AP and Kerala while 1 woman is from Tamil Nadu. All of them were travelling to Kuwait.

The women had altered their Work Visa into a Tourist Visa. They were also not having authentic authorization from the Protector of Emigrants. The women were held when they approached the counter for departure with fake Visas for immigration clearance. This was for travelling to Kuwait and produced the copies of the supposed Tourist Visa.

Clearance from the Protector of Emigrants is mandatory for travelling to Gulf nations. Not even one of the women had the clearance.

The women revealed that they had paid cash to the agents in their home towns. They had obtained accommodations near Nampally railway station at lodges. We were asked to contact the agents in Hyderabad at the lodge, they said.

The agents delivered the documents for travel to these women such as Visas and tickets. This includes the Work Visa that was tampered to appear as a Tourist Visa. A case of forgery and cheating has been booked, as quoted by the Times of India.

The E-Visa or Kuwait Tourist Visa permits travellers to arrive at and travel in Kuwait for purposes of tourism. The eligible nationals who can apply for E-Visa can complete the online applications in just a few minutes. This includes all overseas nationals and residents of GCC nations. These are Oman, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia irrespective of their nationality.

Applicants must answer a series of questions and offer a few basic details. This includes their passport number and contact details. The processing times for the E-visa are between 1 and 3 business days.

The E-Visa is sent to the traveller by email upon approval. It saves the hassle of visiting a consulate or embassy for submitting Kuwait Visa application.
