A Skill in Demand Visa is a temporary visa that is issued by the Australian government as a part of their Migration Strategy. Australia has recently seen a considerable gap in employment; nearly 36% of the skilled occupations have reported a shortage of workers. To encourage the migration of skilled workers from across the globe, they introduced the Skills in Demand Visa. Under this Visa, there are 3 categories, they are:
Specialist Skills Pathway
Through this pathway, people who are highly talented and skilled can apply to work in Australia. They contribute significantly to the country’s economy and financially as well.
Core Skills Pathway
This pathway allows people whose jobs fall under the Core Skills Occupation List to apply to work in Australia. Its goal is to focus on meeting the targeted workforce needs.
Essential Skills Pathway
This is a developing pathway that works with State and Territory Governments, Businesses, and Unions. Its aim is to focus on the helping and care industries.

Eligibility Criteria |
The applicant must have an annual income of minimum $135,000 |
The applicant must have an annual income of minimum $70,000 |
The applicant must have an annual income of minimum $70,000 |
Applicants from any filed can apply except for the trade workers, truck drivers, labourers, machine operators. |
People whose job falls under the Core Skills Occupation List can apply. |
The people who have jobs that are confined to a sector can apply mainly they are the support industry. |
Apart from these the applicants must also meet the health requirements as well as character requirements.
