What is Skills in Demand Visa?

A Skill in Demand Visa is a temporary visa that is issued by the Australian government as a part of their Migration Strategy.  Australia has recently seen a considerable gap in employment; nearly 36% of the skilled occupations have reported a shortage of workers. To encourage the migration of skilled workers from across the globe, they introduced the Skills in Demand Visa.  Under this Visa, there are 3 categories, they are:

Specialist Skills Pathway

Through this pathway, people who are highly talented and skilled can apply to work in Australia. They contribute significantly to the country’s economy and financially as well.

Core Skills Pathway

This pathway allows people whose jobs fall under the Core Skills Occupation List to apply to work in Australia. Its goal is to focus on meeting the targeted workforce needs.

Essential Skills Pathway

This is a developing pathway that works with State and Territory Governments, Businesses, and Unions. Its aim is to focus on the helping and care industries.
