Indian citizens received the highest number of invitations for Canada PR Visa in 2018 through the Express Entry program. Indians got 41, 675 or 46% of the all the ITAs offered in 2018. Chinese citizens were a far second with just 6, 248 ITAs. The Nigerian citizens were at the 3rd position by receiving 6, 025 invitations.
The target for the intake of immigrants through the 3 economic immigration programs administered by Express Entry had increased in 2018. This is projected to increase annually till 2021, as quoted by the CIC News.
The admissions goal for PNPs has also been expanded by Canada. It increased to 55,000 in 2018 plus is projected to increase every year until 2021.
Many candidates who are invited are admitted only the subsequent year. The rise in Express Entry admittance in 2018 was attributed by IRCC to a great number of candidates in Federal High Skilled stream. These were adjudicated in 2017 but admitted only in 2018. Extra candidates in Express Entry who were adjudicated and accepted through PNPs in 2018 were also responsible for the increase, said IRCC.
Admissions are inclusive of primary applicants as well as their family members.
Core factors of Human capital:
The factors under Human capital include work experience, proficiency in French and English, education, and age. Together, they offer what is renowned as the CRS score of a candidate. It can reach the utmost 600 points.
IRCC statistics also highlight specific aspects of the applicants. It reveals that 51% of the candidates who got ITAs in 2018 belonged to the age range of 20 to 29 years.
When it comes to education, 48% of them had a professional degree entrance-to-practice or Master’s degree. Additional 42% had credentials at Post-secondary level of 3 years or more.
Most of the candidates or 60% did not have work experience in Canada. Meanwhile, 39% had 5 years or plus overseas work experience.
