How to calculate points for Germany Opportunity Card?

The Germany Opportunity Card uses a points-based system to determine the eligibility of a candidate. Applicants must have a minimum score of 6 points to be eligible for the Germany Opportunity Card.

The eligibility points for the Germany Opportunity card are based on the following factors:

  • Age: Candidates between 35 and 40 can get the highest points under this factor.
  • Language skills: Having German or English language proficiency can help you get more points and improve your chances of qualifying for the visa.
  • Educational Qualifications: Candidates with higher degrees of education are eligible to get more points for the Germany Opportunity Card. However, their degree must be equivalent to or recognized by the German authorities.
  • Work experience: More experienced candidates score higher under the point calculator for the Germany opportunity Card.
  • Previous stay in Germany: You can also score points if you have ever stayed in Germany for the purpose of work or study. Tourist visits do not qualify for points under this factor.
