The Germany Opportunity Card uses a points-based system to determine the eligibility of a candidate. Applicants must have a minimum score of 6 points to be eligible for the Germany Opportunity Card.

Extra points are given to candidates having C1 level proficiency in English or A2 level proficiency in German. You can also get additional points if your job role is listed under the shortage occupation list in Germany or if you are applying jointly with your spouse.
