How long is a Canada PR valid for?

The Canada PR or Permanent Resident visa allows applicants to become permanent residents in Canada and its provinces The Canada PR comes with a validity of 5 years and allows individuals to live, study and work in Canada. PR holders can apply for Canadian citizenship upon meeting the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility for a Canada PR

The individuals applying for a Canada PR must meet the eligibility criteria, which include the following-

 

  • Having at least 67 points in CRS Grid
  • The age of the individual must be below 40 years
  • Have a good score in IELTS / PTE
  • Educational Credential Assessment
  • The individual must provide a proof of his funds
  • An optional requirement is that the individual must have an offer for job in Canada
