How do you apply for UK Permanent Residence (PR)?

The UK Permanent Residence PR allows a foreigner to reside, work, and study in the UK permanently without the need to apply for a new visa. The UK PR is also called ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain). To get The UK PR visa, an individual must continuously reside in the UK for five years. Although the duration of the continuous stay depends on the type of visa the individual opts for. Some visa categories, such as the Innovator Founder Visa or the Global Talent Visa, are eligible to apply for the UK PR ILR in three years.
