Nurses can apply for Canada Express Entry through the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). The Express Entry follows a points-based system that manages three federal immigration applications: the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Canada has a huge demand for skilled nurses with high-paying salaries. Many registered nurse jobs in Canada offer an average annual salary of $73,185. As a nurse looking to apply for Canada PR through the Express Entry program, you must possess relevant educational qualifications and score at least CLB level 7 in English or French languages, along with other criteria.

How to apply for Canada Express Entry as a Nurse?

You must score at least 67 points on the grid to be eligible to apply for PR through the Express Entry program. Under the Express Entry system, you can apply through the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP).  

 

Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)

To apply for the FSWP, you must have at least 67 points on the grid.  

 

Given below is the list of requirements you must fulfill to apply for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) as a nurse:

 

  • Have a minimum of 12 months of full-time experience in the field.
  • Score a minimum of CLB 7 (English or French)
  • Have a degree or diploma in Canada or a foreign degree outside Canada, along with an ECA (Educational Credential Assessment)
  • Have sufficient funds to provide for your stay in Canada.

Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is for nurses with previous experience in Canada.

 

Given below is the list of requirements you must fulfill to apply for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) as a nurse:

 

  • Have at least 1 year of experience working in Canada as a nurse
  • Have educational credentials that the authorized organization in Canada assesses
  • Score the minimum CLB level of 7 in English or French for NOC skills 0 or A jobs
  • Score the minimum CLB level of 5 in English or French for NOC skills B jobs
