  • A teacher can opt for a skilled worker visa if
  • They have a job offer from the home office
  • They have a COS (Certificate of sponsorship) from the school or university
  • Meet minimum English Language proficiency

UK Graduate Visa

This UK Graduate Visa is for international students who are already in the UK and completing their degree. To apply for this visa, a Home office must sponsor an individual student throughout their studies. The graduate visa will allow the students looking to work as teachers to look for work in the UK for two years after their studies and three years after completing their PHD without any sponsor. Individuals can switch their graduate visa to another UK work visa without leaving the UK.

 

High-potential Individual visa

The HPI (High potential individual visa) is for individuals who have graduated from world-class universities. The HPI pathway is a short-term visa that allows individuals to start their careers early after finishing their courses in top universities.

Eligibility Criteria to get the HPI visa

To be eligible for a high-potential individual visa, you must:

 

  • Have a bachelor's degree, master's degree, or PhD from a global university
  • Have applied for the visa within five years
  • Have English language skills to B1 level
  • Have sufficient proof of funds

 

India's Young Professional scheme

India Young Professionals Scheme visa is for Indian Citizens between 18 and 30 years old who can live and work in the UK for up to 2 years.

Here are the eligibility criteria for the India young professional's scheme:

 

  • Be an Indian national
  • Aged 18-30 years
  • Must have an eligibility
  • Must  have £2,530 funds

 

Youth Mobility Scheme visa

The Youth Mobility Scheme visa is for young people from certain countries. The Youth Mobility Scheme visa allows Indians to reside and work in the UK without any sponsor, including working as teachers. The visa lasts up to two years. After two years, they can change from the Youth Mobility Scheme visa to other UK work visa.

Eligibility Criteria of Youth Mobility Scheme visa

Here are the eligibility criteria for the Youth Mobility Scheme visa that need to be fulfilled:

  • Proof of funds

 

The UK also offers a pilot scheme for the academic year 2023-2024. Eligible teachers can migrate to and work in the UK with a degree, recognized teacher-training qualifications, and at least a year's experience. They must also speak English at the undergraduate level.
