Yes, a 45-year-old can apply for Australia PR in various ways. Australia PR Pathways for 45-year-old

Australia offers a variety of options to obtain permanent residence (PR). People aged 45 years or above can apply for the following visas to get Australia PR upon eligibility:

Pathways to Australian PR for Those Aged 45 and Above

  • Employer-sponsored visas (Subclasses 186 and 482): To apply for this visa, you must be nominated and sponsored by an Australian employer. This visa will allow you to live and work in Australia as a legal permanent resident. The maximum age limit to apply for this is 45 years at the time of application; however, there are exceptions and concessions available on specific streams and occupations.
  • National Innovation Visa (Subclass 858): This visa is designed for individuals who are internationally recognized leaders or potential leaders in their field. The visa allows you to live, work, or become independently established in Australia with the potential to become an Australian citizen upon eligibility. While there's no age limit, applicants under 18 or over 55 must demonstrate that their skills and experience will significantly benefit Australia.
  • Business Innovation and Investment Visa (Subclass 188 and 888): The Subclass 888 visa is specifically designed for business owners, entrepreneurs, and foreign investors seeking Australia PR under the entrepreneur immigration stream. This visa has no age limit, allowing eligible candidates of any age to acquire permanent residence in Australia.
  • Parent and Contributory Parent Visa (Subclass 103 and 143): This visa allows parents of Australian citizens and permanent residents to migrate and live in Australia with the status of a PR. This visa has no age limit, allowing aged parents to settle in Australia as permanent residents.
  • Partner visa (Subclass 801 and 820): The Australian Partner Visa allows spouses or de facto partners of Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens to get permanent residence in Australia. Unlike some other visa categories, there's no age limit for the permanent Partner Visa; however, both partners must be above 18 years old to apply for this visa.
