Aspiring immigrants for overseas studies or work must have good IELTS scores as a requirement for proficiency in the English Language. The listening section is very important in IELTS test. The scores for this section are assessed based on the written answers on the answer sheet. It is also important to complete the answer sheet prior to the allocated time ends.
There are certain crucial points to consider while you transfer your answers to the answer sheet from the test booklet:
Tip #1 – Grammar
You will lose points for incorrect grammar. Be careful with aspects such as singular and plural nouns. You must also be cautious with subject/verb agreement and tenses, as quoted by the Hindu. It is also important to capitalize proper nouns.
Tip #2 – Spelling
The above holds good for spellings as well. Wrong spelling will be marked as the wrong answer and thus you must be careful.
Tip #3 – Handwriting
Handwriting is important though you may be hard pressed for time. If the evaluator cannot make sense of your writing, this also will also be marked as incorrect.
Tip #4 - Use all capitals
It might be safe to write the answers in all CAPITALS if your handwriting is messy or you are not sure regarding the words that need capitalization. The words in the capital are generally neat and easy to read. You will also not be anxious regarding losing marks for inaccurate capitalization.
