USA visa appointment

Welcome to the United States! There are various types of non-immigrant visa options, and understanding these visas is crucial for those who are not citizens of U.S. and are planning for a temporary visit. Purpose of travel and other circumstances will dictate the type of visa required under the U.S. immigration law. Furthermore, a US visa appointment is an interview that is scheduled with a consular officer and the U.S. Consulate General will send an appointment letter to applicants when an interview is scheduled.

Here's an overview of some common visa types:

Business/Tourist Visa (B1/B2)

Fee: US$185

Visitor visas (B-1/B-2) are temporary for those entering the United States for business, tourism, or a combination of both. Understanding the nuances of each category is essential when applying for a visa at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

Work Visas (H & L)

Fee: US$205

Temporary work visas (H and L) are for individuals seeking employment in the U.S. for a fixed period. Employers must file a petition with USCIS, and an approved petition is a prerequisite for a work visa application.

Dependents Visas (H & L)

Fee: US$205

Candidates seeking dependent visas (H and L)  should have a valid U.S. visa from their spouse or a spouse's valid petition approved by USCIS for visa application.

Exchange Visitor Visa (J)

Fee: US$185

Exchange visitor visas (J) are for individuals participating in approved exchange programs in the United States.

Transit/Crewmember Visas (C, D)

Fee: US$185

Transit visas (C) are for those passing through the U.S. en route to another country, with exceptions. Crewmember visas (D) are for individuals working on commercial sea vessels or international airlines in the U.S.

Domestic Employee Visa (B-1)

Fee: US$185

Domestic employee visas are for individuals accompanying their employers to the U.S. to perform domestic duties.
