Documents required for Romania Visit Visa

The documents required for a Romania visitor visa are given below:

• Duly completed and signed visa application form.
• Two recently taken passport-sized colour photographs as per official specifications.
• Passport with a minimum validity of 6 months from the date of entry into Romania, with at least two blank pages.
• Copies of previously issued visas, if applicable.
• A cover letter explaining the purpose and itinerary of the trip.
• Confirmed round-trip flight itinerary.
• Confirmed hotel booking or other valid proof of accommodation.
• Travel medical insurance with a minimum coverage of €30,000, valid across all Schengen member states for the entire duration of the stay, as required by Article 15 of the EU Visa Code.
• Bank statements for the last three months as proof of sufficient financial means, along with salary slips.
• Proof of employment or business ownership, including a No Objection Certificate (NOC) if employed.

Step 1: Check your eligibility for a visit visa to Romania.

Step 3: Fill the online tourist visa application form on the official Romanian e-Visa portal,.

Step 4:  Schedule an appointment at the nearest Romanian Embassy/Consulate.

Step 5: Submit your documents in person at the Embassy of Romania in New Delhi for verification.

Step 6: Attend the biometrics appointment and pay visa processing fee.

Step 7: Track your visa application status on evisa.mae.ro during the review.

Romania Tourist Visa Processing Time

Romania must decide on a complete Schengen tourist visa application within 15 calendar days, under Article 23 of the EU Visa Code. In individual cases where more documents or checks are needed, this can be extended to up to 45 calendar days.

Note: Apply 4 to 6 weeks before your intended travel date to allow for the full processing window. Under Article 9 of the EU Visa Code, you can apply up to 6 months in advance, and you should apply no later than 15 calendar days before travel.
