The University of Manchester has three faculties of which the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE) is one. It was established in October 2004 as the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences. Renamed in 2016, it now houses two schools (the School of Engineering and the School of Natural Sciences) that have nine departments.
