Free University of Berlin (Bachelor’s Programs)

The Free University of Berlin (FU)Freie Universität Berlin in German, is a public university located in Berlin, Germany.  Founded in 1848, it is renowned the world over for the programs it offers in political science and the humanities. 

The number of students enrolled at FU Berlin is 33,000, of whom 13% are pursuing undergraduate courses, and 27% pursuing postgraduate courses are foreign nationals.  Besides the main campus, it has additional campuses in Campus Düppel, Geocampus Lankwitz, and Campus Benjamin Franklin.

It has four central institutes, six graduate schools, and 11 departments, through which it offers 178 courses.

The Campuses of the Free University of Berlin

On the campus, there is a university library that houses e-content resources, individual and group work rooms, manuscripts, and research papers on all subjects that are taught at the university. 

It is home to a Botanical Garden and Museum, and a sports complex. FU also hosts several cultural activities, such as concerts, theatre, and more. 

Housing Facilities/Residence

The university has tied up with ERG Universitätsservice to provide accommodation to students. 

Graduates are provided single rooms and single/studio apartments with shared amenities. Studio apartments have facilities like a gaming room, gym, study area, etc.
