Amount of Scholarship offered: SEK 12,000 per month for full-time students and a one-time travel grant amounting to SEK 10,000-15,000 full-time international students.

What are the Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals for Foreign Students?

The Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals are offered to prospective international students who enroll in Master’s programs in universities and higher educational institutions in Sweden.

The Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP), a new scholarship program, offers scholarships to many students of Master’s programs at Swedish Institutions in the autumn.

The Swedish Institute Scholarship for Global Professionals strives to develop future international leaders who will contribute to the United Nations (UN) 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and work towards constructive and organic development in their native countries.

Who can apply for the Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals for Foreign Students?

Eligible for the Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals are foreign students enrolling in Master’s programs in Swedish universities and higher educational institutions.

Eligibility Criteria for Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals for International Students

Eligible for the scholarship are applicants fulfilling the following criteria:

International students who hail from certain countries across the globe apply for a full-time Master’s program at Swedish Institutions, which will commence in August.

You need to have work experience, barring those from specific regions. Furthermore, you need to show leadership experience from your existing or an earlier employer or by engaging with civil society.

You should pay tuition fees to universities in Sweden, have adhered to the University Admissions steps, have made the payment for the application fee on schedule, and must have been admitted to one of the entitled Master’s programs by March.

How to apply for the Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals for International Students?

Eligible applicants for the scholarship must follow the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: you should have applied online for a master’s program by January, at universityadmissions.se

Step 2: After applying to the Master’s program at the Swedish universities’ portal, a personal application number comprising eight digits will be sent to you. 

Step 3: Save the number and apply with it to the Swedish Institute Scholarship for Global Professionals.

Step 4: After submitting your application to a Master’s program, you can apply for a Swedish Institute scholarship along with the documents required digitally via the online portal in February.
