What are Erasmus Mundus Scholarships?

Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) is offered by higher educational institutions on Master's programs. The European Commission distributes this scholarship to deserving candidates. This is one of the prestigious scholarships awarded for candidates with academic excellence. Students worldwide wishing to pursue master's or Doctoral courses in European countries can apply for this scholarship. Both EU and non-EU students can avail of this scholarship. As this is a fully-funded scholarship, the European Commission grants a sum of 1400 EUR per month (for 24 months) for any master's program.

Eligibility for Erasmus Mundus Scholarships

To be eligible for Erasmus Mundus Scholarships, students must meet the following criteria:

• English language proficiency is needed.

Selection Process

Phase 1: Academic evaluation

The selection committee evaluates the academic excellence of candidates by monitoring the applicant’s academic proficiency, English language proficiency, extracurricular achievements, motivation to study, internships done by a candidate, and other academic achievements.

 

Phase 2: Interview

The selection committee interviews 40 to 60 top-ranked candidates before selecting them for the scholarship. The interview round may be conducted by video conference.
