The US hiring increased by 20% in the month of April 2018 when compared with the same month in the previous year, revealed the latest LinkedIn Report. This has been announced in the Workforce Report on LinkedIn which is a monthly assessment of US employment trends.
The US hiring figure for April 2018 for seasonally adjusted jobs was 2.1% higher than the month of March, as quoted by the CNBC. On the national scale the US hiring enhanced by 19.8% in April 2018 when compared with 2017 as revealed by the data of LinkedIn.
The report of LinkedIn has also revealed the US sectors with highest year-on-year growth. These include Transportation, Automotive, and Aerospace with 23.3% increase, Insurance, and Financial services with 22.2% increase and Industrial and Manufacturing sector with 17.3% increase.
The LinkedIn report has observed that the US is in need of professionals with Marketing skills.
Small firms may not possess the resources for a full-time Marketing recruit but they are still in need of these skills. These range from Digital Marketing and Social Media to Branding and Marketing Research.
LinkedIn compiled its report based on its user profiles of 146 million in the US along with 20,000 profiles of companies. There are 11 million plus active job listings on LinkedIn globally. It also has 3 million plus fresh job listings added for the US on a monthly basis.
The rate of hiring is the % of members that alter the details of the fresh company on their profile in the same month of job search divided by the sum of members of the LinkedIn in the US. This is as per the LinkedIn report.
