Ontario’s Human Capital Priorities Stream, a Provincial Nominee Program which is an Express Entry-linked stream, issued 511 new NOIs (Notifications of Interest) in a round of invitations held on 27 February.
This round of invitations of saw NOIs being issued to chosen Express Entry candidates with a CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score in the range of 433- 441.
The OINP (Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program) was quoted by CIC News as explaining that candidates to whom NOIs were issued submitted their Express Entry profiles between 1 January 2018 and 22 February 2018.
The Express Entry Pool candidates who received an NOI from Ontario are eligible to apply for the province’s provincial nomination. Candidates, whose applications are successful, will be awarded 600 points more towards their CRS score of Express Entry.
The Human Capital Priorities Stream is said to be unique in its selection process as it lets the OINP hunt the Express Entry pool for candidates having a CRS score of 400 or above, besides other criteria.
This fifth draw for the Human Capital Priorities Stream will be the largest in 2018. In the first two months of 2018, Express Entry candidates through this stream have been issued totally 1,808 invitations by Ontario.
The OINP, in its announcement, stated that it would continue issuing NOIs to candidates on a regular basis who have at least a CRS of 400 and satisfy all the eligibility criteria.
