Japan to tap AP talent due to the scarcity of workers

Japan is looking forward to tapping talent from Andhra Pradesh in India due to the scarcity of workers and an aging society. It is turning to India for alleviating the crisis that looms ahead.

3 major Japanese IT companies held a recruitment drive in Vishakhapatnam for selecting candidates for jobs in Japan. Around 300 students were chosen from the leading Universities and Engineering Colleges in Coastal Andhra Pradesh. They participated in the recruitment drive held at the GITAM Deemed to be University on 4th and 5th February.

The Japanese firms include En-Japan Inc, Denso, and AI Tokyo Lab & Co. Positions were available in UI/UX Developers, Software Development, and Artificial Intelligence Engineering. The salaries offered ranged from Rs 12 to 15 Lakhs annually, as quoted by the Times of India.

The Global Asset Community is a top real estate consultation company in Japan. It was supposed to take part as an observer to understand the future plans of the students for a career. The firm also held interviews upon seeing the required enthusiasm among the students.

CEO of New Era, an En-Japan firm Koji Murata said that Japan is super-aging and India is fast-developing. Thus the two nations can complement each other, said Koji Murata.

The CEO said that we have been hiring people from India from 2017. Most of the overseas job aspirants in India want to immigrate to the US. This is changing now gradually, he added.

Students in India might be aware of a few aspects of Japan said, Murata. But they are not aware of the firms in Japan or advancements in technology there, added the CEO.

We want to inform the Indian students that Japan has several interesting firms said, Murata. The businesses are suffering in Japan due to the super-aging society, he added.
