Graduate programs in Australia

With Australia providing post-study work options for international students studying in Australian universities, they can stay on in the country for two to four years and work here. This can subsequently lead to a permanent residency.

To help students in their job search, the government and private firms in Australia conduct several graduate programs. These graduate programs are basically recruitment programs that last for 1 to 2 years to graduates in different subjects. They are targeted at students in the final or penultimate year of their course.

The graduate programs recruit students at different times in a year. This usually depends on the organization.

The graduate programs give an opportunity for students to begin their career immediately after graduation. They also give them an opportunity to work on a program suited to their qualifications. These graduate programs offer more to students than a regular job that they may find after graduation. In a graduate program, they get opportunities for extensive training, mentoring, planning their career development etc.

Graduate programs give fresh graduates the opportunity to experience work in the various departments of the company. This helps them to discover their interests and pursue the right career path.

This program provides them with the initial crucial support that they need in the workplace. It also gives them an opportunity to put into practice what they learned during the course.

Candidates who go through these graduate programs are happy with the opportunities it provides them to learn, develop under a mentor and thrive under the professional support that they receive.
