Owing to the visa upgrading, 900,000 tourists arrived in 2017 at United Arab Emirates DWC – Dubai World Center which is one of the largest UAE airports. The operator of UAE DWC Dubai Airports revealed that the airport witnessed arrivals of 904, 940 travelers in 2017. This is an increase of 6.4% with 850, 633 arrivals in 2016. The maximum traffic at UAE Dubai World Center was from Eastern Europe. There was an increase of 168% in the arrivals of tourists from this area when compared with the previous year.
452, 631 travelers from Eastern Europe arrived at the UAE DWC in 2017, as quoted by the Visa Reporter. The top place for an increase in arrivals of travelers in 2017 was however taken by Russia with an increase of 955.4% and arrivals of 279, 100 tourists.
Tourism in UAE has grown phenomenally in 2017 owing to the visa upgrading. It has always been renowned amongst the Indian travelers but is now gaining fame with the Chinese travelers as well.
There was also a 34.6% increase in arrivals of travelers to UAE in 2017 from Western Europe with 94, 452. From this region, the majority of the travelers were from Germany with a total of 41, 671 arrivals from the nation. Azur Air, Ural Airlines, Condor, Wizz Air, and Royal Flight are the airlines that carried the majority of the travelers to the UAE DWC.
The volume of freight to the UAE also increased heavily in between the period of these two fiscal years. It reached the 1 million mark in 2017. In 2017, 972, 295 tons was carried to the DWC which was a hike of 8.35 when compared with 2016.
