India signed $100 billion EFTA agreement with European Free Trade Association (EFTA) members

India and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) members signed a ground-breaking $100 billion free trade agreement on Sunday that is set to begin in few months. The EFTA members are Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland. According to this agreement, Indian workers to can enjoy relaxed visa requirements. All the domestic industrial goods would get duty-free access in EFTA nations.

 

Switzerland opens 120 services to Indian Companies

EFTA agreement has opened up of over 120 of 156 services by Switzerland, including audit, legal, IT, and healthcare services. Swiss state secretary for economic affairs Helene Budliger Artieda said in an Interview, “There is a commitment on visas, on business visas, inter-corporate visas and visas for independent professionals.”

 

Customers will get permit to high-quality Swiss products such as watches, biscuits, chocolates, and clocks at low-cost as India will point out customs duties on these goods.
