Why delay in H-1B visas processing?

The US Citizenship and Immigration Services or USCIS has made plans to transfer the applications of H-1B visas to another center. This plan has been made to clear the backlog so that people can work in US. The government agency has stated that the workload will be reduced by sending the visa processing applications to the California center.

Currently, the workload is more on the Vermont Service Center. This will help in receiving the notices regarding the new H-1B visa applications more quickly. In recent months, visa processing has been slowed down because of the existence of huge backlog. Another reason for the slow processing of the applications is the shortage of staff.
