• United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) released the editions of Form I-589 and I-765
• Form I-589 that are revised is for the quick shelter for Asylum people (Application for Asylum and for Withholding of Removal).
• Form I-765 is for the Employment of Authorization of Asylum people (Application for Employment Authorization).
• USCIS will only accept the new editions of Form I-589 and Form I-765 will be effective from Nov 7, 2022.

These new editions are effective from Nov 7, 2022, till that time USCIS will consider and accept the 07/26/22 editions or the older versions of the Form I-589 (dated 08/25/20) and I-765 (dated 05/31/22 and 08/25/20).

The edition date and its accompanying instructions are found at the bottom of the page. Please take a proper look at the instructions as sometimes it has older versions in the light Asylumworks vacatur.

The UD District Court for the District of Columbia has removed two rules. USCIS has ended up applying the final rules:

1. Asylum-Application-Interview-and-Employment-Authorization-for-Applicants, and
2. Removal-of-30-Day-Processing-Provision-for-Asylum-Applicant-Related-Form-I-765-Employment-Authorization-Applications effective from February 8, 2022.
