UK Tier 4 Visa process for overseas students has been hit by delays as per the latest reports as several overseas students are receiving their visas at the last minute. Many others have to wait for their UK Tier 4 Visa that is endangering their enrollment at the UK universities.
Students in Hong Kong are the worst affected by UK Tier 4 Visa process delays. The UK Consulate was forced to offer an apology for the delays in UK visas. It said that this was a result of a scanning issue with the latest passport system, as quoted by the Workpermit.
As reported by the South China Morning Post around 1,300 UK Tier 4 Visas arrived delayed for a three day period. The UK Consulate in Hong Kong said that it was not directly involved in the processing of visa applications. It, however, clarified that it is in regular touch with the Visas and Immigration UK. UKVI has assured that it is examining the delays for individual cases on a priority basis.
As per the guidelines of the UK Government, the processing of UK visas for overseas students must not take more than 15 working days. It is still lesser for applicants who apply through the premium service.
On the other hand, it has now been reported that even the fast-track processing is on par with the standard visa processing. This is in spite of the fact that the students have paid an additional fee for the premium processing.
David Anthonisz Oxford International Education Group’s Global Recruitment Director said that visa delays are muddled. It is improper that students who have opted for premium service are being made to wait, added the Director.
