Ebola seems to have taken the normal life in West Africa by storm. Thousands reported to be affected by the virus with as many as 20 deaths every day in Sierra Leone alone. In view of the same, the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office has announced a temporary suspension of priority visa services in West Africa.
The services are temporarily barred because the daily air flights carrying couriers are now limited. The suspension will come into effect from Monday, the 27th of October, 2014. The statement added that the normal visa applications will be processed as usual within 15 working days.
UK foreign office said that the measure is impermanent and it regrets any inconvenience caused to the visa applicants during this period.
