The changes to the UK migration policy have been tabled by the Government in the Parliament. This proposes to offer thousands of visa slots to overseas professionals. It will relax the visa policy for UK businesses that need to hire overseas talents, as quoted by the Economic Times.

The fresh UK visa regime will assist firms to hire professionals to work in the nation from nations such as India. The proposed immigration policy has however outraged students intending to study in the UK.

Nevertheless, the proposed modifications to the Tier 2 Visa stream have opened 1000s of Visa slots to international professionals. This is inclusive of Nurses and Doctors. They are now exempted from the contentious yearly cap of 20,700 visas.

The government has declared that Nurses and Doctors outside the EU nations will be exempt from General Tire 2 Visa. This is to cater to the shortage of skilled workers. These professionals are now exempt from the monthly ceiling of 1,600 slots. It is expected that other key professionals are also likely to get exemptions in the Tier 2 Visa category.

The fresh immigration policy will permit an unhindered number of non-EU workers to arrive in the UK. This will be in areas that have an acute scarcity of talents such as Teaching, Engineering, and IT.
