The UK to exit the European Union on 29 March 2019, 11:00 pm says May

UK Prime Minister Theresa May has said that the UK will move out of European Union on 29 March 2019 at 11:00 pm. She has thus set out her plans to enshrine the exact time and date for the exit from the EU in the law. Theresa May said that formal amendments will be made to European Union withdrawal Bill. This will commit to the exact time and date. It will be done prior to the scrutiny of the proposed legislation by the UK MPs. This is due to commence in the House of Commons next week. Writing for the Daily Telegraph, May said that the determination to exit the European Union must not be doubted at all. The exact time and date for the exit will be recorded in the historic legislation. UK will exit the EU on 29 March 2019 at 11:00 pm, explained the Prime Minister. The date declared by May marks the 2-year deadline after Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty was invoked by the UK. The process was triggered on March 29 this year. This followed the referendum favoring the exit from the EU in June 2016, as quoted by the Times of India. The European Union withdrawal Bill will transform all current EU laws into UK laws. This is to ensure that there are no gaps in the legal framework on the day of the exit. It has already progressed to its second stage. Several attempts to amend the bill will be made in this Committee stage. May has already warned the Pro-Brexit supporters both in the opposition and the Tories. She has said that the government is forthcoming to MPs for their ideas to improve the bill. But any attempts to delay or halt the process will not be tolerated, cautioned Theresa May.
