UAE to grant 5-year multiple entry visas for all countries

The UAE is a popular tourist destination welcoming millions of visitors from all over the world. People travelling to the UAE have yet another reason to cheer.

The UAE has announced that it will now be issuing a 5-year multiple-entry Tourist Visa. The new Tourist Visa will be available to all irrespective of their nationality.

The decision regarding the new Tourist Visa was taken during a meeting of the Council of Ministers on Monday. This meeting was headed by His Royal Highness Sheikh Mohd. Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister of the UAE.

In a Twitter announcement, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed said that the UAE had approved the change to the Tourist Visa system of the country. The validity of the Tourist Visa has been extended to five years with multiple-entry benefits for all countries. More than 21 million tourists visit the UAE every year. The UAE aims to establish itself as a major international tourist destination in the coming years.

Earlier, travellers applying for a Tourist Visa for the UAE could only get a single-entry or multiple-entry visa with a validity of 30 days and 90 days, respectively.

In another tweet, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed said the UAE would be completing 50 years in 2021. Hence, 2020 has been marked as the Year of Preparation. The new year 2020 will design the future of the UAE.
