UAE Passport ranks first due to Visa-free travel

UAE Passport has been ranked first across the world. It is being called as the strongest passport among all nations. Passport Index, an online tool has ranked it #1 on December 1, 2018. It is a big achievement for the country.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Foreign Affairs Minister has confirmed the news. He said it is the result of positive diplomacy. The ranking is based on the freedom of movement in the UAE. Visa-free travel is something that Overseas Immigrants prefer the most.

Immigrants holding UAE Passport can travel to 167 countries without having to meet any pre-Visa requirements. That amounts to almost 84 percent of the countries worldwide. 2 years back, the UAE Passport had ranked 27th. Naturally, it’s a huge jump for the country in just 2 years.

Mr. Sheikh Abdullah said that the achievement reflects UAE’s respect and appreciation at the international level. The leadership has been always wise. It has strived to build the right image for the country. He further added that the UAE Passport was supposed to achieve this position by 2021. That was the aim of the country. However, it has managed to secure the 1st position way before the target date.

As quoted by The Times of Israel, the UAE Passport gives access to overseas opportunities. It offers freedom of movement and improves the quality of life. It is not just the identity of its citizen.

Armand Arton, the founder of Passport Index said the tool monitors the changes and developments of various passports. It compares 193 different passports and continuously collects data on the same. It determines the strength of a passport based on Overseas Immigrants’ ease of travelling worldwide.

Mr. Arton confirmed that the UAE Passport has made enormous progress in the last 2 years. One can travel to other countries with this passport. It’s the most important aspect when it comes to gauging a passport’s strength. He added that the UAE offers its citizen something that is on top priority worldwide.

The UAE Passport has benefitted the country’s citizen in a number of ways. It has opened doors to new opportunities for economic and developmental sectors. The country aims at endorsing International participation. It has held on to its principles ever since its establishment in 1971.
