A twelve-year boy with Indian-origin has won the ‘UK Child Genius’ in a renowned TV quiz competition and had already become a sensation overnight by replying accurately to all questions. Rahul Doshi won the UK Child Genius show of the Channel 4 by defeating Ronan his 9-year-old opponent by 10-4.
The winner of the UK Child Genius Rahul studies at a school in North London. He clinched the title by replying to query related to artists from 19th Century John Everett Millais and William Holman Hunt.
In the final round of the UK Child Genius competition Rahul awed everyone with his acquaintance of the chosen subject. It was the methodology and medical innovation of Edward Jenner in the 18th Century UK, as quoted by the Times of India.
The final round of the competition was followed by a severe competition. This was telecasted throughout the week in which candidates exhibited their prowess in memory, history, spelling, English and Maths skills.
Rahul Doshi was tipped to be the winner from the initial days of the competition. He had secured very high scores in the earlier rounds and even bagged full house in the first round of the series itself. Rahul had fascinated the audiences during the competition as he had accurately memorized the sequence of a bunch of cards.
Rahul said that his ambition is to become a financial adviser. He said that he remained calm and blocked out everything else to stay focused on the aim to win. The winner of the UK Child Genius added that his strategy was to answer accurately a maximum number of questions. This helped to remain calm and perform well in the earlier stages itself, said Rahul.
