US President Donald Trump has returned to the immigration theme and made scathing remarks over migration policies at a tax event held in West Virginia. He complained regarding the policies of catch-and-run and immigration based on family. In this category, migrants sponsor their relatives to arrive in the US.

Trump also said that he has been criticized for his kickoff campaign speech in Mexico. He had said that Mexico has been transferring rapists across the borders to the US, as quoted by the Economic Times.

Trump had also said that women are being molested at unseen levels. However, it was not clear as to what was he referring to. It was also announced by Trump that he was seeking to deploy National Guard forces at the Mexico-US border to combat drug smuggling and illegal immigration. He has thus again highlighted the immigration theme in US politics.

Donald Trump furthermore launched a verbal attack on Senator Joe Manchin during his West Virginia visit. Addressing the tax event, he said that it was not Manchin who voted for his plans for taxation.

The US administration is yet to spell out the number of troops it is seeking to deploy at the Mexico-US borders. This is as per Kirstjen Nielsen the Homeland Security Secretary. She only said that the required number of troops will be sent. Donald Trump has already signed an order that clears the way for deploying troops of the National Guard at the border.

Eventually, the 4 Governors of the Border States will finalize the precise timing and number of troops. Nielsen said that the administration needs the help of the National Guard troops for border surveillance. They are also needed for border patrol vehicles maintenance she added.
